How To Get Instant PAN Using Your Aadhaar Number?

<p>The Income Tax Department of India issues people and companies with Permanent Account Numbers (PANs), which are ten-digit alphanumeric numbers used for tax reasons. It is used to keep track of each taxpayer’s financial activities and serves as a unique identification for them. Due to printing, mailing, and human processing, the conventional procedure to receive a real PAN card might take some time. <p>e-PAN</p>
<p>For applicants who have a valid Aadhaar number, the e-PAN service allows for the allocation of an Instant PAN (near-real time basis). PAN is sent to applicants in PDF format, free of charge. Based on the e-KYC information from Aadhaar, an electronic version of the PAN card known as a “e-PAN” is issued.</p>
<p>All individual taxpayers who have Aadhaar but no PAN are eligible to use the Instant e-PAN service. Using this pre-login service, you can:</p>
<p>With the use of Aadhaar and your cellphone number connected to Aadhaar, you may get a digitally signed PAN in electronic format for free.<br />

After PAN allocation or update, create an e-Filing account based on your e-KYC information, and check the status of any outstanding e-PAN requests or download your e-PAN before or after signing in to the e-Filing site.</p>

<p>How to get an e-PAN;</p>
<p>First, go to the Income Tax Department’s e-Filing portal at https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/.</p>
<p>Step 1: Click Instant e-PAN on the front page of the e-Filing site.</p>
<p>Step 2: Select Get New e-PAN from the e-PAN page.</p>
<p>Step 3: Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number, check the I confirm that box, and click Continue on the Get New e-PAN page.</p>
<p>Note:</p>
<p>If the Aadhaar has previously been connected to a legitimate PAN, the following notice will appear: Aadhaar number entered has already been connected to a PAN.</p>
<p>If the Aadhaar is not associated with any mobile number, the following message is displayed: No active mobile number is connected to the entered Aadhaar number.</p>
<p>Step 4: Click the link on the OTP validation page. I have read the conditions of the consent and accept to continue. Then click Next.</p>
<p>Step 5: On the OTP validation screen, enter the 6-digit OTP that was sent to the Aadhaar-linked cellphone number, check the box to have UIDAI verify the Aadhaar information, and then click Continue.</p>
<p>Step 6: Select the I Accept that checkbox and press Continue on the Validate Aadhaar Details screen.</p>
<p>An acknowledgement number and a success message are shown after a successful submission. The Acknowledgement ID should be noted down for future use. A confirmation message will also be sent to the cellphone number associated with your Aadhaar.</p>
