‘Retirement’ Wish for Serbian Star Novak Djokovic From Father for The Year 2024

Given his age of 36, Serbia’s top tennis player Novak Djokovic may be nearing the end of his tennis career. He continues to be among the best tennis players ever, and despite becoming older, his agility and fitness on the field are still top-notch.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-98811″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/theindiaprint.com-retirement-wish-for-serbian-star-novak-djokovic-from-father-for-the-year-2024-download-97.jpg” alt=”” width=”1395″ height=”781″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/theindiaprint.com-retirement-wish-for-serbian-star-novak-djokovic-from-father-for-the-year-2024-download-97.jpg 300w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/theindiaprint.com-retirement-wish-for-serbian-star-novak-djokovic-from-father-for-the-year-2024-download-97-150×84.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1395px) 100vw, 1395px” />

Despite having a very good year, Novak Djokovic just fell to Spanish great Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final. Djokovic won the French Open, where he set a new men’s grand slam record, and reached his ninth Australian Open final this year.

Djokovic, who is still ranked second in the world by the ATP Rankings, has started to pace himself, particularly in terms of effort given that the Serbian’s primary goal is to win Grand Slams. During the Wimbledon 2023 final post-match ceremony, Djokovic became highly emotional and started crying as he spoke to his son Stefan.

In the middle of all of this, Srdjan Djokovic, Novak’s father, discusses his son’s tennis career and what lies next for the Wimbledon runner-up.

Srdjan Djokovic expressed his desire for his son to withdraw from tennis in a few months so that he could spend more time with his family in a Sportal interview about Novak Djokovic.

“He has already accomplished all of my goals for him, dating back seven to eight years. “The rest is just this incredible bonus,” Srdjan Djokovic added. I anticipate him to be acknowledged for the things he will accomplish once his career ends, after he departs the tennis scene, which I hope will happen next year. Tennis is just one aspect of his life, not his whole existence.

The retirement of Novak Djokovic from tennis may spell the end of the ‘Big 3’ of tennis, with Roger Federer having already announced his retirement and Rafael Nadal indicating that 2024 would be his last season.

“And for Novak to gradually progress… Not yet, but let’s say in a year and a half… My desire as a parent is that he should have given up this really demanding profession a while ago, Srdjan said. With him giving it his best for 30 years and never letting up, there isn’t much time for other things in life. It’s physically difficult and psychologically taxing.

The Serbian just withdrew from the August Rogers Cup Masters in Canada, but he may still compete in the September Cincinnati Masters, which will serve as a warmup for the US Open.
