On Friday, June 2, three trains met with an accident in Odisha’s Balasore district. About 238 passengers have died in this accident that happened in the evening. Not only this but more than 900 passengers are injured. Some passengers are seriously injured and are fighting for their lives. The injured are being treated at hospitals in Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Cuttack and Jajpur. The number of passengers who died in the accident may increase further, it is also being feared.

The bogies of the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express derailed in Balasore, Odisha on Friday evening at around 7.20 pm. The Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express was going from the side track. Significantly, the derailed coaches collided with the coaches of the Coromandel Express on the side track. The derailed bogies of the Chennai Coromandel Express then collided with a goods train on another track. Indian cricketers have shared their grief regarding this painful train accident in Balasore. He tweeted and paid tribute to the passengers who passed away in the accident.
