Report: Allan Donald to Resign as Pace Bowling Coach for Bangladesh

It has been claimed that when Bangladesh’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 campaign concludes, Allan Donald would not be renewing his contract with the cricket team to continue as their fast bowling coach. Australia will be Bangladesh’s opponent in their last league game on Saturday after they were eliminated from the World Cup semifinals.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-277114″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-pollution-causing-even-healthy-lungs-to-resemble-an-asthmatic-patients-airways-for.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com pollution causing even healthy lungs to resemble an asthmatic patients airways for” width=”1367″ height=”719″ title=”Report: Allan Donald to Resign as Pace Bowling Coach for Bangladesh 6″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-pollution-causing-even-healthy-lungs-to-resemble-an-asthmatic-patients-airways-for.jpg 310w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-pollution-causing-even-healthy-lungs-to-resemble-an-asthmatic-patients-airways-for-150×79.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1367px) 100vw, 1367px” />

In a meeting, a report claims that Donald told the team he was going to resign down.

A senior Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official was reported in the magazine as stating, “Yes, he (Donald) informed us that he will not carry on with us after this World Cup during the team meeting.”

In March of last year, BCB brought Donald on board for the T20 World Cup in Australia. His contract was extended till the ODI World Cup in India after he made an impression in the position.

This comes after it was claimed that BCB asked Donald for an explanation for his remarks on Angelo Mathews’ timed-out dismissal, even though he was a member of the Bangladesh coaching team.

The renowned pacer called the event underwhelming and criticized it.

According to a BCB official, “He could have given his personal views at a later time.” “Since he is a member of the team management, discussing decisions made by the team in public is against the code of conduct. He had the option of talking to the player individually or discussing it with the team. He didn’t have to tell the BCB in public.

But Donald didn’t appear to be phased.

“I don’t mind at all if they (BCB) ask for clarification. According to me, the explanation was reported in today’s news,” Donald was cited as saying.

Bangladesh’s world cup campaign has not gone well; they have only won two of their eight games. They defeated Afghanistan in their first match of the tournament, but they lost six straight games and were eliminated from the semifinals.
