NBA: On acquiring superstar James Harden, LA Clippers coach Tyronn Lue says, “Sacrifice Is Going To Be The Biggest Thing”

The Los Angeles Clippers’ executive leadership believes James Harden will succeed in their galaxy even if he is a superstar joining a squad that is already stacked with talent.

After a stunning deal that sent the 10-time All-Star and 2018 NBA MVP from the Philadelphia 76ers back to Los Angeles, Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said on Wednesday that he is unsure of when Harden would make his debut.

However, Lue thinks that this season, when Harden plays with Paul George, Russell Westbrook, and Kawhi Leonard, all four of them will adapt enough to make the Clippers a strong candidate for Harden’s first NBA championship.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-263587″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-ratna-pathak-and-rupali-ganguly-lead-the-celebration-as-sarabhai-vs-sarabhai-turns.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com ratna pathak and rupali ganguly lead the celebration as sarabhai vs sarabhai turns” width=”1345″ height=”753″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-ratna-pathak-and-rupali-ganguly-lead-the-celebration-as-sarabhai-vs-sarabhai-turns.jpg 300w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-ratna-pathak-and-rupali-ganguly-lead-the-celebration-as-sarabhai-vs-sarabhai-turns-150×84.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1345px) 100vw, 1345px” title=”NBA: On acquiring superstar James Harden, LA Clippers coach Tyronn Lue says, "Sacrifice Is Going To Be The Biggest Thing" 3″>

“The most important thing will be sacrifice,” Lue said. “There are four men from Los Angeles and four men with impressive professional accomplishments. They have spoken about just winning a title, so they understand. That’s all we have on our minds. It will need a significant amount of sacrifice, in terms of minutes or shots. They are ready to carry it out.

Just four games into the season, the Clippers had already rocked the foundation of their club with the addition of Harden and P.J. Tucker at the expense of four players and a piece of their long-term draft position. The possibility of greatness for owner Steve Ballmer and manager Lawrence Frank far surpassed any possible risks associated with having a four-superstar team.

The head of basketball operations for the Clippers, Frank, referred to Harden as “a ceiling-raiser.”

Frank said, “James Harden has an incredible skill set, and his only concern is winning a championship for the LA Clippers.” “He want to be a member of something greater than himself. These four gentlemen are the ones with all the individual achievements. They’ve amassed substantial wealth. This has only one objective.

After his relationship with the Sixers broke down, Harden desperately wanted to play in his home state of Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the Clippers are desperate to get out of the second-tier contender limbo, having won 12 straight seasons, gotten 10 postseason invites, and only once made it to the conference finals.

Harden’s debut won’t come until at least next week, but Lue said that Tucker may play against the Lakers on Wednesday night. While Harden departed and then returned to the Sixers, Tucker has been a member of the team throughout their tense, protracted split.
