Here Is Sundar Pichai’s Response To His Viral AI Speech, Google CEO

In a recent interview with digital content producer Brian Tong, Google CEO Sundar Pichai discussed the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and Google’s goals for 2024. However, things took a humorous turn when Tong realized that Pichai’s final two letters spell “AI,” and he connected it to his widely shared AI speech.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-247606″ src=”” alt=” david warner on usama mirs dropped catch i didnt even see it because i was blocked” width=”1414″ height=”792″ srcset=” 300w,×84.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1414px) 100vw, 1414px” title=”Here Is Sundar Pichai's Response To His Viral AI Speech, Google CEO 6″>

Brian Tong, who often discusses technology, couldn’t help but make a humorous comment. He remarked that Sundar Pichai’s last two letters are “AI” and made the joke, “Has anyone ever told you that AI is in your name?”

“You know, I didn’t realize it, but I had a good laugh at Google I/O when someone made a video of me saying ‘AI, AI, AI,’” Pichai said with a chuckle. A video of Pichai reiterating “AI” and “generative AI” during the event was then shown after the interview. Pichai said, “I thought that was funny and entertaining to watch. A lovely touch was the name change.

The amusing coincidence gave Tong the idea to quip, “We could make T-shirts out of it and sell them.” Being realistic, Pichai said, “No, probably not a good idea.”

In the meanwhile, the US-based tech giant revealed at its annual Google for India event that it would begin building Pixel smartphones in India. The first smartphone from that will come with the “Made in India” logo will be the recently released Pixel 8.

Similar to Apple, Google has been working in the background to grow its manufacturing base outside of China, and this revelation demonstrates that Google views India as a key market and will continue to concentrate on it for some time.

“We discussed our intentions at #GoogleforIndia to produce Pixel smartphones here in India, and we anticipate shipping the first units in 2024. Google CEO Sundar Pichai commented on social networking site X, “We’re dedicated to being a trusted partner in India’s digital development and appreciate the support for Make In India @PMOIndia+ MEIT Minister @AshwiniVaishnaw.
