In ODI 17 of the current 2023 World Cup in Chennai on Thursday, India beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets, and Ravindra Jadeja was crucial to their success. When Bangladesh’s batting seemed to be on track for a high total in the first innings, the all-rounder turned the tide. Bangladesh eventually scored 256/8 in 50 overs, which was a low total given how they had started.

But today…': Zaheer's main comment on the Indian star during the BAN battle 3″>
Bangladesh got off to a solid start thanks to openers Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das, who easily handled pressure from the Indian bowling staff. In the 15th over, Kuldeep Yadav made the first wicket for the home team by dismissing Tanzid for 51 off 43 balls. In the 20th over, Jadeja next got rid of the opposition’s captain, Najmul Hossain Shanto. Jadeja bowled a delivery on a back of a length and an off at a speed of 93.2 kph. It struck Shanto on the left leg after beating him on the inner edge. After the umpire raised his finger and Shanto opted not to waste a review, he left for eight off 17 balls, Jadeja went on a celebration run.
Litton wanted a batter with whom he could form a lasting relationship since Shanto was also leaving. Mehidy Hasan Miraj, however, was removed by Mohammed Siraj for three runs off of 13 balls in the 25th over, failing to fulfill that task. The 28th over was when Jadeja changed the outcome. Litton made the decision to go for Jadeja on the fourth delivery of the over and glided down the field for a tremendous shot. He miscued it, however, and it became a lofted shot that Shubman Gill was able to catch at long distance. In this over as well, Jadeja used the faster ball strategy, launching the ball at 98 kph as Litton left the game for 66 off 82 deliveries and Bangladesh was in trouble at 137/4.

With the exception of performances by Mushfiqur Rahim (38) and Mahmudullah (46), Bangladesh struggled to make an impression following Litton’s wicket in the first innings. In the 43rd over, Jadeja supported Jasprit Bumrah and demonstrated his fielding prowess. Mushfiqur cut hard, and the ball flew to the right of backward point, where the seasoned fielder dove with both hands to make an incredible catch, costing Mushfiqur his wicket for 38 from 46 balls.

2011 World Cup champion Zaheer Khan praised Jadeja’s contribution to the game in a Cricbuzz interview. If you give him a wicket early in his stint, he is one bowler who will make sure it is a nice day. We have seen it with him, as well as with that outstanding catch today,” he said.

“He is just a fantastic person to have in your starting XI. He is always a factor in the game. He gains from it, therefore that’s good. Due to the pitch’s lack of assistance, today’s performance is noteworthy. Jaddu has consistently shown that he is quite successful with pitch support. Today, however, there wasn’t much assistance, and on top of that, the leadership was working well together. As a result, when he entered the game to bowl, it was not an easy run for him, but he made those opportunities for the team by getting the left-handed out. where he cast the magic that let the energized Litton out. He skillfully raised the tension. I believe he made excellent use of his faster delivery today while he was bowling. There were certain deliveries that he bowled at under 100 km/h, which is a respectable rate, when you could see he knew the batsman was going to try to put him under pressure. Ravindra Jadeja may have been fresh today to shoulder that more zip in the ball since spinners often shoulder 90-95 mph with faster ones, the author said.

India, who had a goal of 257 runs to attain, scored 261/3 in 41.3 overs thanks to Kohli’s undefeated century of 103* runs off 97 balls. Shubman Gill, the opener, too reached fifty, smashing 53 off 55 deliveries.
