Zuperspeed Automotive, the Bengaluru-based electric vehicle startup developing the nation’s first electric sports car, has onboarded Joachim Nordwall, a veteran Design Director formerly at Koenigsegg Automotive, as a Strategic Design Advisor.

Joachim is internationally recognized for shaping some of the world’s most radical hypercars, including the Koenigsegg Jesko and Regera. With nearly two decades of experience at Koenigsegg, he has contributed to redefining modern hypercar design by blending innovation, performance, and aesthetics.

This marks a landmark moment for the Indian automotive community, symbolizing the nation’s growing ambition to create world-class sports cars. For enthusiasts, it represents the beginning of a new chapter where design excellence and performance are no longer imported aspirations, but a vision being built within India.

In his advisory role at Zuperspeed, Joachim will provide design direction, helping the brand align its work with global design standards while defining a distinctive, performance-driven design language.

“Our vision is to build performance cars from India that stand credibly alongside global benchmarks.” said Ijaz Anvar, CEO of Zuperspeed Automotive.“Having Joachim’s perspective adds immense strength to our vision. His experience with some of the most ambitious hypercars in the world brings valuable insights as we shape India’s first electric sports car.”
